The Mona Lisa & the shopping Spree...

Yesterday, I fulfilled my promise to Patoota and gave her the birthday shopping spree she wanted. We went to Souq sharq at around 5 and ended it at Al-Fanar (enshalla finalizing it at Burjman soon - that's another promise *wink*). We had a great time and a major laughing stomach-ache.

I will always remember these moments,
  • The way Patoota looked while trying the "kimono thingy" LOL. Still wondering how she got it on at the first place. All I remember is her laughing and almost crying while screaming "Get me out of this" and her arms sticking out next to her head hehehe

  • Patoota wanted to say "Mona Lisa" at some point, but it kept coming out as "Lemon-iza". She was trying hard, she knew its "Mona Lisa" but whenever she say it its always "Lemoniza". She got pissed and turned red while I was wiping my tears laughing hehehe. She then said it right (Thank God!).. BUT!! when we got home and she wanted to tell the story, she was like "tathkereen lama ma 3araft agool "Lemozina" ?" .. Huh? Lemozina? where did this come from? hahahaha Patoota. Upset again. No "Mona Lisa" for you :P

Last thought: Why? Oh why? Why is it that whenever I go to a shop that has an on-going sale, I ALWAYS end up buying the "not-included-in-sale" items?

Because you are not an experienced frugal shopper, your nose does sniff the bargins.

"not-included-in-sale" are probably the best they have to offer. Good fun, and happy birthday to ur friend.

Maybe because sales in Kuwait aren't really sales! In Italy the sale is mostly for brand new current season and next season things. Don't ask why its done that way, but if it does clear the store in one or two days and sell at regular prices for the rest of the season, you would have ended up with alot of money. ;)

Maybe because what they put on-sale is usually the stuff that nobody really wants! ...so you end up buying the not-included-in-sale stuff!
